Juno Reactor in HelsinkiThe idea of performing electronic music live is still an obscure concept for some of us. Unfortunately that goes for some artists as well. Too often people assume that the process of making electronica is equal to pressing a few buttons and some "live sets" could certainly reinforce that belief. But there are bands and artists in the genre delivering excellent live shows that can include vocals, orchestral instruments and other kinds of performances.

Founded back in the prehistoric 1990 Juno Reactor is one of the pioneers of psychedelic trance, also known as goa trance, even though these names technically refer to slightly different genres.

This is a group photo from the Helsinki Devmeet held on the 27th December 2005 thanks to *ani-r. The place is Tennispalatsi, a large cinema center. About 4-5 people are missing from the photo, but most are there. The image quality is quite awful, as I accidentally used an ISO number that was way too high - and using flash from a distance in low light conditions doesn't yield very good results. But hopefully this is the worst picture quality-wise, the rest are better and you can see them at http://maija.irtie.org/devmeet05/. It's currently just a directory index, but I'll add proper links with names once I figure some of them out.

Unfortunately I have forgotten most of people's names, even though most were wearing name tags.
