Rhododendron

If you have been watching me for a while, you probably know that I tend to submit haiku on the entirely wrong time of the year. This is quite obviously a summer haiku, written about 7 months ago, on our summer cabin (or more like, drafted in my head there).

It was published in Asahi Haikuist, but too bad they decided I didn't know how my poem should be written and left out several words (they apparently seemed to think that "jam" meant "fruit concoction" instead of "busy crowd"), which obviously entirely changed the meaning. Oh well.

P.S. If you haven't watched me for a while, just a reminder that a haiku does not have to be 5-7-5.
